No More Leftovers

Seasons. There are technically four different seasons in a year. We’ve got winter, fall, spring and summer. But, my all time favourite time of the year is Fall. Everything amazing happens in the fall —- or at least I think so. When I think of the fall a few things come to mind re: PUMPKIN EVERYTHING, my wedding anniversary, and the change in the air (you know what I'm talking about… it starts to smell Fall-ish). With the Fall a lot of folks attribute change because the leaves are turning, it's a new school year, summer is over and it means everyone is back to business as usual. And friends let me tell you She Captivates is ready to get back to “business”. Over the summer quite frankly there have been a few changes and updates to She Captivates. We have lost a couple of amazing writers, we added She Gathers (our community groups), and decided to ease back on our Instagram game. I'm sure y'all have noticed the Instagram posts have not been as frequent. It's been quite a ride. And now, we are into the Fall. And I have something to share with y'all. Seriously, I’m about to drop a truth bomb. Here it is: We have been giving you our leftovers. I'm sure y'all are wondering what that means? So, let me explain. This summer we chose to take a break from She Gathers which is great because it gave us time to pray and think about what God wanted to do with She Captivates. There were things that God brought to my attention and the other ladies and it was how dry we were all feeling. Pouring out into others is great but when you’re having a hard time being fed at the end of the day it's hard to give. And that's what happened with the blog posts at times (not all the time) but for a few of us. Dear friends, you deserve more than our leftovers. And thank goodness for God's faithfulness because whenever we thought we could not pull through for a post God pulled through for us and gave us a word to share with everyone. So, beautiful souls after serious prayer and consideration we are super excited to announce our quality over quantity initiative. We do not want to give you our leftovers (spiritually) and we are pretty sure God doesn't want us to do that either. Therefore, She Captivates will only be writing once a month and will continue to hold She Gathers groups in the community. We will still Instagram it up with encouraging words as well. Blog posts going forward will be prayed over even more so and our energy will be focused on She Gathers groups in the community because loving Jesus together and supporting one another in Him is so much more fulfilling than doing it on our own. Thank you for listening sweet friends and please pray for us as we head into this new season and ministry.
